<p>This is addressing one of the most <a href="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/category/answers/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">asked questions</a> by Muslims to Christians. According to Muslims, it is impossible for one to bear the sin of another. This question itself comes from a premise of wrong understanding about the person of Jesus Christ. When they consider Jesus as one little prophet, they are not able to grasp the gravity of the work done by Jesus.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is Bearing the Sin of another an impossibility?</h2>

<p>Most Muslims pluck out and quote certain passages from Deuteronomy and Ezekiel to come to a conclusion that the Death of Jesus cannot pay for the sins of Mankind. Let us check out these verses.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2024%3A16&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Deut 24:16</a></cite></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be <strong>CREDITED </strong>to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be <strong>CHARGED </strong>against them.</p><cite><a href="https://biblehub.com/ezekiel/18-20.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ezekiel 18:20</a></cite></blockquote>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is it possible to bear the sin of another?</h2>

<p>It is quite interesting to see that Ezekiel is using an accounting term to explain the effects of Sin. He uses the term, CREDITED(to the Righteous) and CHARGED(to the Sinners). It does not require much effort to know that God applies a mechanism of Debit and Credit. <strong>A Sinner will be CHARGED and the Righteous will be CREDITED</strong>.</p>

<p>Paul also uses a monetary term with sin.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>For the <strong>WAGES OF SIN</strong> is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.</p><cite><a href="https://biblehub.com/romans/6-23.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Romans 6:23</a></cite></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>for all have sinned&nbsp;and <strong>FALL SHORT</strong>(<strong>NEGATIVE BALANCE</strong>) of the glory of God,</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%203%3A23&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Romans 3:23</a></cite></blockquote>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="640" height="387" src="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Wages-of-Sin-1.jpg" alt="Bearing the Sin of another person?" class="wp-image-6395" srcset="https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Wages-of-Sin-1.jpg 640w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Wages-of-Sin-1-300x181.jpg 300w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Wages-of-Sin-1-585x354.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" title="Bearing the Sin of another person? - A Simple Explanation 1"><figcaption>Bearing the Sin of another person?</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Accounting Terminologies Explained</h3>

<p>Accounting terminologies like the above makes it clear that each of us is bound to abide by our credit or debit as it might be. Needless to say, if there is a charge against your name, you will have to make the payment. If you do not have the wherewithal to make the payment, somebody else will have to make it for you. And that &#8220;<strong>Somebody Else</strong>&#8221; should have a Credit surplus and a willingness to make the payment for you. </p>

<p>As a result of the payment, you will be gratefully indebted to that &#8220;<strong>Somebody Else</strong>&#8220;. However, if you refuse to take the offer of that &#8220;<strong>Somebody Else</strong>&#8220;, you will have to personally make the payment for the charge against you. </p>

<p>Also, it is important to note that another DEBTOR cannot take your Debt as that person himself is in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">NEGATIVE BALANCE CATEGORY</span></strong>. If my &#8220;<strong>SIN-RIGHTEOUSNESS ACCOUNT BOOK</strong>&#8221; statement shows that I am a SINNER with the Wages as DEATH (NEGATIVE BALANCE), I cannot make a payment for another person who is also NEGATIVE BALANCE like me. </p>

<p>We both need that &#8220;<strong>Somebody Else</strong>&#8220;, who has enough credit against his name and is willing to help us. Entire Humanity has FALLEN SHORT and is in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">NEGATIVE BALANCE CATEGORY</span></strong>. This is the reason why Moses and Ezekiel say that <strong>One negative balance category person (Parent or Child) cannot pay for another negative balance category person (Child or Parent)</strong>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">We are born into the Debt of Adam</h3>

<p>Notice how Paul explains the accounting term. </p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>12&nbsp;Therefore, just as<strong> sin entered the world through one man</strong>(ADAM),&nbsp;and death through sin,&nbsp;and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—</p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>13&nbsp;<strong>To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but <span style="text-decoration: underline;">sin is not charged against anyone’s account</span> where there is no law.&nbsp;14&nbsp;<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses</span>, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam,&nbsp;who is a pattern of the one to come.</strong></p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+5%3A12-14&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Romans 5:12-14</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>As the entire Human Race was trapped into the after-effects of the Adamic Sin, we all will have to bear the debt of Adam.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Solution to the Debt of Adam</h2>

<p><strong>The Debt of Adam has to be borne by another from the same Adamic Race who is SINLESS</strong>. This is where we find Jesus who is capable of bearing the sins of the whole human race. Notice how the bible explains the removal of the debt of Adam</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>17&nbsp;For if by one man&#8217;s offence(Adam&#8217;s) death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)</strong></p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>18&nbsp;Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.</strong></p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>19&nbsp;For as by one man&#8217;s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.</strong></p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>20&nbsp;Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:</strong></p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>21&nbsp;That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.</strong></p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+5%3A17-21&amp;version=KJV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Romans 5:17-21</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>Only God has infinite Credit and He took the responsibility to <strong>RECONCILE THE ACCOUNT BOOKS</strong>. Therefore he became one of Adam&#8217;s children to push in his infinite credit to the books of humanity.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>All this is from God, who RECONCILED US TO HIMSELF through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:</strong></p><cite><a href="https://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/5-18.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">2 Cor 5:18</a></cite></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p><strong>God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God</strong>.</p><cite><a href="https://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/5-21.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">2 Cor 5:21</a></cite></blockquote>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Conclusion</h2>

<p>I would doubt that any normal Muslim would ever read those verses that I have displayed here. That is because they have already been brainwashed. They have made up their mind that they would not heed to the voice of the Spirit. Nevertheless, any serious person who would like to understand the Christian concept of Reconciliation of the Adamic Debt should make an effort to know it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="800" height="710" src="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1.jpeg" alt="Bearing the Sins of the World" class="wp-image-6408" srcset="https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1.jpeg 800w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1-300x266.jpeg 300w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1-768x682.jpeg 768w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1-451x400.jpeg 451w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Good-News-1-585x519.jpeg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" title="Bearing the Sin of another person? - A Simple Explanation 2"><figcaption>Bearing the Sins of the World</figcaption></figure>

<p>Jesus Christ is that &#8220;<strong>Somebody Else</strong>&#8220;, who is willing to credit his infinite surplus to you. Jesus Paid it all when he said <strong>TETELESTAI</strong> meaning &#8220;<strong>IT IS FINISHED</strong>&#8220;.</p>

<p>τετέλεσται (Tetelestai) is an accounting term in greek used to denote &#8220;ACCOUNTS FULLY RECONCILED&#8221;</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>28&nbsp;Later, knowing that everything had now been finished,&nbsp;and so that Scripture would be fulfilled,&nbsp;Jesus said,&nbsp;“I am thirsty.”&nbsp;29&nbsp;A jar of wine vinegar&nbsp;was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips.&nbsp;30&nbsp;When he had received the drink, Jesus said,&nbsp;“<strong>IT IS FINISHED</strong>.”&nbsp;With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+19%3A28-30&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">John 19:28-30</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>Everybody can choose to pay their debt by themselves or trust in Jesus to Reconcile them to God. If you choose to pay the debt by yourself, you will be eternally separated by God. Choose Wisely.</p>

<p class="has-drop-cap">This is a very insane question asked by Muslims all over. They think this is some silver bullet by which the Christians will be destroyed. &#8220;<strong>Did Jesus say, I am God Worship me</strong>&#8220;? Questions like these degrade the Muslims to a level that exposes their own Allah as a false god. Most of them do not realise that they are putting themselves in a quagmire of logical fallacy.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is a statement like this a proof of Divinity?</h3>

<p>I am interested to have answers to the following questions from the Muslim who asked this insane question.</p>

<ul><li><strong>If I claim to be God, will that make me God?</strong></li><li><strong>Will you believe me if I say &#8220;I am God<strong>&#8220;</strong>?</strong></li><li><strong>Will you worship me based on my claim?</strong></li></ul>

<p>Upon further thinking, I realised that indeed Muslims believe such empty statements without any validations. It requires a real imbecile to believe the statements made by Muhammad on behalf of Allah.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="1200" height="900" src="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada.jpg" alt="I am God Worship me" class="wp-image-4423" srcset="https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada.jpg 1200w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-760x570.jpg 760w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-960x720.jpg 960w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-533x400.jpg 533w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/The-Real-Shahada-585x439.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" title="Insane 1 - Did Jesus say, I am God - Worship me? 6"><figcaption>Insane 1 - Did Jesus say, I am God - Worship me? 9</figcaption></figure>

<p>Allah a.k.a Muhammad commands in the Quran to worship him</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote has-text-align-right"><p>يا أَيُّهَا النّاسُ اعبُدوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذي خَلَقَكُم وَالَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكُم لَعَلَّكُم تَتَّقونَ</p><cite><a href="http://al-quran.info/#2:21/1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sura 2:21</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>The transliteration of this is &#8220;<strong>yā-ʾayyuhā n-nāsu ʿbudū rabbakumu lladhī khalaqakum wa-lladhīna min qablikum laʿallakum tattaqūna</strong>&#8221; which means &#8220;<strong>O mankind! Worship your Lord, who created you and those who were before you, so that you may be Godwary.</strong>&#8220;</p>

<p>Remember that the Quran is supposed to be the speech of Allah and he himself is ordering people to worship him. And the Muslim is in utter obedience to worship this Allah whom he does not know apart from the novel Quran of Muhammad.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="1828" height="856" src="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual.png" alt="Did Jesus say, I am God Worship me?" class="wp-image-4496" srcset="https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual.png 1828w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-300x140.png 300w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-1024x480.png 1024w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-768x360.png 768w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-1536x719.png 1536w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-960x450.png 960w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-854x400.png 854w, https://www.educatedmuslim.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Idiot-Manual-585x274.png 585w" sizes="(max-width: 1828px) 100vw, 1828px" title="Insane 1 - Did Jesus say, I am God - Worship me? 7"><figcaption><strong>Did Jesus say, I am God Worship me?</strong></figcaption></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What did Jesus say?</h3>

<p>There are multiple instances in the bible when Jesus claimed himself to be God. More than the claim, it&#8217;s his actions that proved him to be God. <strong><a href="https://subdomain-educatedmuslim.jteahh.easypanel.host/category/christianity/jesus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Click here</a></strong> to see various of his actions which proved his divinity. Now I would like to show one instance where he claimed to be the God <strong>Yahweh</strong> (<strong>I AM</strong>) of Israel. <p>Let me quote you a conversation between the Jews and Jesus where Jesus indeed Claimed to be the<strong> &#8220;I AM&#8221;</strong>. Read this portion carefully as I would take you to the old testament portion proving the words of Jesus.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>54&nbsp;Jesus replied,&nbsp;“If I glorify myself,&nbsp;my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.&nbsp;55&nbsp;Though you do not know him,&nbsp;I know him.&nbsp; If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word.&nbsp;56&nbsp;Your father Abraham&nbsp;rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it&nbsp;and was glad.”</p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>57&nbsp;“You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”</p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>58&nbsp;“Very truly I tell you,”&nbsp;Jesus answered,&nbsp;“before Abraham was born, <strong>I AM </strong>!”&nbsp;59&nbsp;At this, they picked up stones to stone him,&nbsp;but Jesus hid himself,&nbsp;slipping away from the temple grounds.</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A54-58&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">John 8:54-58</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>Notice the Terminology used by Jesus. He is saying that he is &#8220;<strong>I AM</strong>&#8220;. If his intent was just to mention his ancientness, he could have used the term &#8220;<strong>I WAS</strong>&#8220;. But here he was clearly mentioning his Divinity. He is attributing the name of <strong><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%203%3A13-15&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">YAHWEH(Meaning I AM)</a></strong> to Himself. He is not giving any ambiguous statements. He is saying &#8220;<strong>I AM GOD</strong>&#8221; by that just one word. And notice the reaction of the Jews. They considered this as a claim to Divinity and hence thought it to be Blasphemy. No wonder, they picked up stones to stone him.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Correlated incident in Genesis</h3>

<p>Jesus is indeed claiming to be the same God who met Abraham and Abraham had seen him. We all know that this incident happened in <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+18%2C19&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Gen 18 and 19</strong></a> when Abraham met YHWH. Three visitors came to meet Abraham near the great trees of Mamre. One of them was YHWH God and the other two were angels accompanying him. Jesus is mentioning that meeting with Abraham when Abraham was Glad that he saw his own God.</p>

<p>As the explanation of the events that led to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha continues, we see a verse that proves that it was indeed God the SON that visited Abraham. After Lot was taken out of the wicked city, the Fire and Brimstone was rained into it. Interestingly, the Son (the one who visited Abraham) commanded the judgement and the Father from Heaven poured out the judgement.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>24&nbsp;<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Then the&nbsp;Lord(YHWH)&nbsp;rained down </span>burning sulfur&nbsp;on Sodom and Gomorrah—<span style="text-decoration: underline;">from the&nbsp;Lord(YHWH)</span>&nbsp;out of the heavens.</strong>&nbsp;</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+19%3A24&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gen 19:24</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>We see two persons of the Triune God distinctly mentioned in this verse participating in the destruction of Sodom. What more proof do we need to prove that Jesus is indeed God who met Abraham and destroyed Sodom?</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Jesus Ordering to Worship?</h3>

<p>This is a very surprising element of the question. The Lord God YHWH has never ordered people to worship him by his own speech. I have never seen a scripture in the bible which looks like a demand by God to worship him. Most exhortation to worship the Lord is by the Prophets and seers to the people. The Bible has many instances of False deities forcing people to worship him. God himself ordering people to worship him is alien to the bible. People worship God out of self-conviction and awe of the greatness of the Lord. It is never forced or ordered.</p>

<p>Allah ordering people to worship him surely makes him a False diety and also Satan. Read the following scripture where Satan covets the Worship and shamelessly asks for it from Jesus.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.&nbsp;9&nbsp;“All this I will give you,” he said, “<strong>IF YOU BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP ME</strong>”</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+4%3A8%2C9&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Matt 4:8-9</a></cite></blockquote>

<p>The same Allah is asking people to worship him. He is crazy after worship as he knows he is unworthy of it. He, therefore, uses deception to get worship. He DEMANDS IT FOR HIMSELF.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Conclusion</h3>

<p>The Purpose of Jesus coming to this earth was to redeem mankind. He always loved to represent Mankind so much that he kept addressing himself as &#8220;<strong>THE SON OF MAN</strong>&#8220;. His job was not to show off his splendour and dominate people as the Allah of Muhammad. To know the purpose of Jesus Incarnation, you need to understand the Christian Gospel. I would like to end with a Quotation from Phil 2:6-11 which Describes the incarnation of the Lord Jesus.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>Who, being in very nature[<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%202%3A6-11&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-29398a" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a</a>]&nbsp;God,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;did not consider equality with God&nbsp;something to be used to his own advantage;<br>7&nbsp;rather, he made himself nothing<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;by taking the very nature[<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%202%3A6-11&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-29399b" target="_blank" rel="noopener">b</a>]&nbsp;of a servant,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;being made in human likeness.<br>8&nbsp;And being found in appearance as a man,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;he humbled himself<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;by becoming obedient to death—<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;even death on a cross!</p></blockquote>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>9&nbsp;Therefore God exalted him&nbsp;to the highest place<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and gave him the name that is above every name,<br>10&nbsp;that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;in heaven and on earth and under the earth,<br>11&nbsp;and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to the glory of God the Father.</p><cite><a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%202%3A6-11&amp;version=NIV" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phil 2:6-11</a></cite></blockquote>
